This season will find the Rangers mostly away from Arlington for the month of May. They play 17 games on the road, including back-to-back three-game series against fellow 2023 postseason contestants, the Philadelphia Phillies and Minnesota Twins. After that six-game road trip from May 21-26, Texas returns home for a two-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, the team the Rangers beat in six games to win the Series last season.

While May is the Rangers’ time to shine, they tend not to fare well during the summer, according to numbers. Over the past three seasons, they’re just 27-48 in July, and the 11-13 mark the Rangers had last July was the only full month under .500 for the season.

The month concludes with road trips to the Toronto Blue Jays, another playoff team from last year, and the St. Louis Cardinals, who are among the favorites to win the National League Central.
