The Houston Astros already have given their fans one great reason to come to the ballpark this season: A no-hitter thrown by Ronel Blanco – the 17th in franchise history – on April 1 against the Toronto Blue Jays.
Between that and the franchise’s success in recent seasons, with seven consecutive postseason appearances and two World Series championships since 2017, there’s plenty to draw support at Minute Maid Park.
However, themed games also draw in a wide range of Major League Baseball (MLB) fans and the Astros offer plenty of these special perks as well. BetTexas.com, as part of our coverage that interests would-be Texas sportsbooks customers, wondered which upcoming event nights were most popular. We checked out the Houston Astros 2024 promotions and events schedule, then surveyed Astros fans on Reddit (from March 22-25) regarding their favorite themed nights for the 2024 MLB season.

There are no legal online Texas sports betting apps. But in Louisiana, the Astros have +900 odds at BetMGM Sportsbook to win the 2024 World Series, as of April 3. That was behind only the Los Angeles Dodgers (+340) and the Atlanta Braves (+425).
Based on this survey, Margaritaville at the Ballpark is the favorite Astros themed promotion this season, with 60% of the vote. The promo will take place versus the Detroit Tigers at 4:10 p.m. ET at Minute Maid Park and includes a Hawaiian short for 10,000 fans.
Dog Day ranked second with 15% of the Reddit vote. That takes place on Sept. 1 at 2:10 p.m. against the Kansas City Royals. There are 11 Dollar Dog Nights throughout the season, all on Tuesdays. That theme tied for third on our list with Girls Night Out, at 10%.
Girls Night Out, presented by Kendra Scott, will be held on Saturday, June 1 at 4:10 p.m. versus the Minnesota Twins. There will be a DJ, photo opportunities, and vendor expo in the atrium before first pitch. Plus there is an available add-on package that includes a mini phone tote and a Kendra Scott necklace for $60.
F.R.I.E.N.D.S Night, celebrating the popular NBC TV show, rounded out the top five with 5% of the vote. This will be held on Tuesday, July 30 at 8:10 p.m. versus the Pittsburgh Pirates. A bobblehead doll to commemorate the event will be a giveaway item.
